Anne Whalen McLindon is a passionate open water swimmer, ice swimmer, triathlete and coach. Through her Rising Tide programs, Anne combines her swimming experience with unique, innovative training methods to enabled athletes of all ages and abilities to surpass their pool and open water swimming goals. She is the Head Swim Coach at Lab School in Washington, DC, and a coach for Special Olympics and WaveOne Swimming. 

Anne is the Open Water Swimming Technical Delegate for the 2015 Special Olympics World Summer Games and is a Member of the Special Olympics Triathlon Sport Resource Team. She has conducted international training clinics for Special Olympics in Africa, India, Asia Pacific, Europe, the Middle East, South America, and the Caribbean working with athletes, coaches, and program directors from over 60 countries. Anne is the creator of Aloha Splash Pool-Open-Water Swims and Suit Up Africa, fundraisers to support the continued growth of open water swimming around the world. She is a major contributor to the International Competition Rules and Coaching Guides for Triathlon and Open Water Swimming.


Anne uses her own experience as an Athlete, Coach, Mother, Race Director, and Swim Partner to train athletes of all levels, helping them surpass their personal goals and achieve successes they never thought possible.
